Through the Dark Ages
04:59
|
|||
Blow ye the shofar in Zion
sound an alarm in the holy mountain
The sun and moon will be darkened
the arcaine omens described in the archaic Scrolls
where the fate of our ages is told
Now behold, sons of men
hear the warning signs
the earth is weeping
the day of clouds and thick darkness is nigh
raise the sign of the Nazarene
crush the unholy altar of idols
of the dark "deity", the enemy of soul
our eternal foe
forging my iron in Christ's holy fire
filling my veins with that flame
against that infernal beast hiding in the shadows
arming the lawless men
walk alone through these ages in this absence of light
light the torch of the Lord in the storm of these dark times
bare that light and don't feast at the table of demons
brand my soul to resist these evil legions
with Thy empyreal wisdom
witness the visions of Joel in the night sky
bloody canvas on the moon,
as new idols rise to their towering height
the ancient fires in the mountains
blazing citadels
as the dark prince grows his might
I forge my armor in the fire of Christ
the anyafil of the archangel
across the oceans I heard its call
the profecies that were mocked through the ages
are now revealed before our eyes"
when the last seal is broken,
the forces of eternity collide

Wayfarer
05:17
|
|||
I roam across the mountains and the seas
wherever You take me
my fate is in Your hands
through the storms of this life
through the blizzard and the snow
through the enemy's strongholds
always keeping me safe
that I might not fall
if I walk through the enemy's castle doors
and if they cast me in the dungeon
I see the spikes of the morning star
ripping off my backskin
just like Paul and Silas
but I know You'll break the silence
as these prison walls will fall
always leaving my past behind me
just a lonely wanderer
I never know where I'll be tomorrow
in many far distant lands
through these mysterious paths
where I'm destined to be
in these murky scenes
surrounded by the endless sea
feeling its strength and its wrath
but Your Word is my lamp in these dark roads
light unto my path

Gloria Dei
05:21
|
|||
Gloria Dei
lucet nobis
Gloria Dei
lucet nobis
(glory of God shines upon us)
tenebris marcescat
(the darkess fades away)
Ad mortem Jesus ducitur
mens haec considera !!!!
mitis agnellus trahitur
cruenta victima, pro me et te
pro malis mundi
pro malis mundi
propter amorem
(Jesus is led to death,
consider this,
a gentle little lamb is dragged like a bloody victim
for me and you
for the evils of the world
for the evils of the world
for the sake of love)
Gloria Dei
lucet nobis
Gloria Dei
lucet nobis
(glory of God shines upon us)
vide catenas
haec pro te patitur
inter dolores, inter cruores
en pro te moritur
(look at the chains,
this one suffers for you,
in His pains, in His bleeding,
He dies for You)
per dura devia errans ovicula:
revertere! revertere!
Maria vel sancti non possunt intercedere pro nobis
ad Dominum convertere
(sheep wandering through the harsh stray paths;
return back! return back)
Maria or the (dead) saints can't intercede for us,
turn to the Lord!)
te quarens, cadit lassus
redemit crucem passus
te quarens, cadit lassus
redemit crucem passus
redemit crucem passus
(He falls down tired, looking for you ,
He has redeemed you by suffering on the cross
He falls down tired, looking for you ,
He has redeemed you by suffering on the cross
He has redeemed you by suffering on the cross)

Per Gratiam Per Fidem
06:03
|
|||
Ephesios 2:8-9
"Gratia enim estis salvati per fidem, et hoc non ex vobis:
Dei enim donum est:
non ex operibus, ut ne quis glorietur"
our filthy works
don't generate righteousness
but our righteousness
in Christ alone generates works
your desperate works can't change your heart
can't earn your own salvation
but He can create you a second time
He can cause you to be born again
not by sight but faith alone,
not through empty traditions nor rituals
but through His grace alone
through His grace alone
don't turn away from God
by clinging to worthless idols (Jonah 2:8)
all the graven images shall burn
in the flame of iconoclastic fire
sola gratia
it's not by our worthless deeds of the law
cause all our righteous acts are just like filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6)

In Omni Tempore
06:24
|
|||
I sought the LORD,
and He answered me;
He delivered me from all my fears.
Those who look to Him are radiant
their faces are never covered with shame.
Custodit Dominus omnia ossa eorum
Lo, the poor crieth, and the Lord heareth him
and saved him out of all his troubles.
O taste, and see, how gracious the Lord is
blessed is the man that trusteth in him
Come, ye children I'll teach you the fear of the Lord.
The lions do lack, and suffer hunger
but they who seek the Lord shall not want
misfortune shall slay the ungodly
they who hate the righteous shall be desolate.
Benedicam Dominum in omni tempore
semper laus ejus in ore meo
prohibe linguam tuam a malo
timorem Domini docebo vos
Redimet Dominus animas servorum
et non delinquent omnes qui sperant in eo.
Canimus, soli Deo gloria
Benedicam Dominum in omni tempore

Sola Scriptura
05:57
|
|||
unless I'm convinced by the Scripture and plain reason
I don't accept the authority of the popes and councils,
the antichrist of Rome
our feelings can come and go
our heart devotions are deceiving
but my warrant is the Word of God
naught else is worth believing
though my heart should feel condemned
for want of some sweet token
there is One greater than my heart
whose Word cannot be broken
I'll trust in God's unchanging Word
til my soul and body sever
for though all things shall pass away
but His Word shall stand forever
"I call God to witness that all I have written and preached
has been to rescue souls from sin. There can be no turning back.
My Lord walked the path of Truth and duty, even though it took Him to Calvary.
To witness to God's truth is more important than life. Joyfully then will I
confirm with my blood all the writings and preachings of truths that I've held"
Jan Hus
fiercely attacked by the papal sword
but they didn't risk their lives in vain
when the wordly might mattered more than God's Word
the church started to sharpen its blood-thirsty blade
Waldo, Arnaldo, Savonarola,
Hus and Tyndale perished in flames
the acts of devil in the inquisition
murdered thousands who opposed the Roman blade
they fought the tyranny of Rome
fought the deceiver, the indulgence trade
let the truth be told!
but the embers of the reform couldn't be tamed
sola scriptura: autoritas
nihil potest mutare
(Scripture alone: authority,
nothing can change it)
and the ones who died for the Scripture
fought against the desecration of Christ
as the church robbed its way to get richer
built its castles for the honor of its own might
not of our own works but the grace
not the traditions or dead religious ways
adding works to salvation is mockery
of the cross-work that happened once on the hill of Calvary

Masquerade
05:43
|
|||
hide the lies, and hide the pain
lost in the waltz of frozen hearts
the smile on the jester's face
death behind the porcelain mask
the dancing flames of the darkest of passions
drunk by the illusion of complacency
veiling the pain with false mirth
but your eyes will give you away
and all will be revealed
vain rituals chanted in trance
dazed by gold, the beauty, the smell of incense
invited to the devil's dance
masquerade of lies hiding dark secrets
behind that mask breeds the blasphemy
against the Holy One you claim to know
You can't corrupt or fool the Eternal One
He'll be turning every stone
no secrets no lies before the Holy One
though praise comes from your mouth
your heart is full of darkness
you are nothing but a whitewashed tomb
unclean inside despite of the gold you veil yourself in
heart full of mockery, deception, corruption
and dead man's bones
when the masks we wear are dropped
it just shows how our lives have mocked the Holy One

Paris Blood Wedding
05:36
|
|||
They refused to bow
before the altar of an idol in Rouen
it led to 40 executions
to a dreadful dawn of the times of turmoil
attempt to murder the leader of huguenots (Gaspard de Coligny)
blood bath begun at the night of the Saint Bartholomew
the queen (Catherine de' Medici) used the weakness of the king of France (Charles IX)
to arrange the wedding between both sides,
just to gather them all (huguenots) at once,
to lure them to arrive straight to the slaughter
assassination attempt triggered the crisis
When the Paris’ city gates were closed, the red sun rose
the Swiss guards were called, the stakes were set alight
huguenot leaders left to the crows
the bells of murder were ringing in the night
the crowds became wolves by the blessing of the crown
in this hellish persecution
armed with faith, a dream of heaven
a divine absolution
The ones who claimed to stress good deeds,
brutally murdered many thousands who believed
in the authority of the Holy Word of God,
and their blood stained many pages in history
the devil went wild in France
"our extirpation is decreed"
"our extirpation is decreed"

Gallows
06:50
|
|||
"Onward!" ...as death's embrace draws near.
through these dimly lit corridors, this somber path I tread
the screams echo in the depths of the mighty Bastille
but His ancient promise will carry me, as darkness looms ahead
walking through the gates of iron from the depths of this dungeon
as I'm heading to the hangman's stage
the crowds are screaming their mockery
against all the righteous ones in their infernal hate
"Onward!" ....and I see robed figures ascend
but His serenity surrounds me as this life approaches its end
no grave concerns nor dread remain
of the inferno and its sordid plight
hear the heaven's call piercing the darkest night
my life is a cheap sacrifice, in the eyes of the world's authorities
from the clergy to the jesters and kings, trust no one
only God's holy might can cover me
I see the gallows on the hill
the hungry eyes of the wolves, the hangman's grin
I'll always glorify Your name
I'll die before deny Your name
with fervent faith that towers high
and let my spirit ascend to Your skies
don't pray for our lives that they'd be spared
but that our enemies would see His light, through our lack of fear of death
smile on my face on this final walk
towards His golden light, His holy might, I'll gladly depart
